ephedra_kutwal_naltar.jpg

The ephedra is a medicinal shrub that grows in dry climates, principally in the margins of the mountain range of the Andes. The plant has been used by the Chinese medicine for 5000 years, principally to treat respiratory problems and some illnesses like for example the hay fever.

The plants of this genre are used to increase the energy of the individual, and also to treat bronchitis and asthma, since it acts straight opening the routes respiratory s for the lungs. Also it has been used to lower the fever, and more recently to grow thin.

His rooting in the popular medicinal culture is important, and his use has spread several populations. Nevertheless, we are in the presence of a quite problematic medicinal plant, since it is a plant that can cause serious side effects with which it is necessary to be supremely careful, since the excessive administration of the plant is capable of causing the death in patients.
