I think Jean- Luc Picard, who is played by Patrick Stewart, is one of my favorite captains of all the Star Trek series, of course I loved him in the X-Men film series as well. I remember him saying an interesting thing in an interview and that was when he received the part of the Captain of the Enterprise, he was considered an unknown in Hollywood so when the press did write-ups about the new series The Next Generation, instead of using his name they said "an unknown Shakespearean actor" would be the Captain, so for the duration of the series, he had that placed on his trailer instead of his name.
